Dennis Daugs

Dennis is Lakeside’s co-founder and managing director, where he splits his duties between working with high-net-worth clients and serving as the firm’s chief market strategist. Like co-founder Jeff Flohr, Dennis began his career working in traditional fashion as a stockbroker after earning his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Puget Sound. As Dennis’s career progressed to senior-level positions with some of the nation’s best-known brokerage firms, he envisioned a non-traditional business model, which he believed would better serve his clients’ needs. That vision led to the formation of Lakeside Capital.

Part of Dennis’s investment philosophy includes challenging the advice and followings of conventional wisdom typically seen in larger firms. His warnings prior to the tech collapse and his recent warnings about the non-apparent banking crisis won many converts to his insights and strategy.

Born and raised here in the Northwest, Dennis enjoys skiing with his family of five. He has served on a variety of boards including Puget Sound Bank and The French American School, among other corporate and educational organizations.

Jeff Flohr

Co-founder and managing director of Lakeside Capital, Jeff brings decades of experience in helping Lakeside clients set their financial futures. He learned the basics of investing and finance from his grandfather, a successful financier in his own right.

A Northwest native, Jeff graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in economics, beginning his career through the traditional path, working in a large stock brokerage. After years working within the traditional broker/dealer model, Jeff and business partner Dennis Daugs decided they had a better model for serving high-net-worth clients, founding Lakeside Capital in 1997. Since then, Jeff has woven himself into the fabric of the community, serving on a variety of boards, volunteer organizations and other philanthropic endeavors.

Doug Johnson

Outside of the office, Doug is an active member of the Northwest Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and in July 2007 finished the Seafair Marathon as a member of the chapter’s ‘joints in motion’ team. Doug also coaches youth baseball and soccer.

Doug received his bachelor’s degree from UCLA and an MBA in finance from Thunderbird – The American Graduate School of International Management.

He lives in Snoqualmie with his family and enjoys spending his free time outdoors.
